Project Background
A private residence in Currumbin Waters, on the Gold Coast, has recently undergone some renovation works to close in the lower level of their raised home. The renovations, completed by Highlife Homes, were initiated with the intent on creating an open plan kitchen and dining area as well as more living spaces for their growing family.

The client required a floor, which is easy to clean and encompassed minimal amounts of ongoing maintenance. Taking this into account, the client also required a floor that would stand the test of time and maintain its level of appearance and aesthetic appeal for years to come.

The product chosen to install in this renovation project was Transitions Mechanically Polished Concrete. This floor was chosen due to the extensive number of benefits associated with the system in addition to the high level of quality presented. Furthermore, Transitions mechanically polished concrete floors also fulfilled the clients objectives in offering a seamless finish that will maintain its look for years to come, not to mention the high gloss finish which largely increased light reflectivity in the room.
