Epoxy Flake

Uses of Epoxy Flake

The Epoxy Flake floor is suitable for high traffic areas such as garages, driveways and outdoor areas in the residential environment and warehouses, workshops, showrooms, storage areas, bathrooms and safety areas in the commercial/industrial environment. Epoxy Flake can be used as both an internal and external finish. Due to it being a surface coating, Epoxy Flake can be installed over a new or existing slab of concrete.

Characteristics of Epoxy Flake

Epoxy Flake floors are made up of dry paint flakes and combined with a coloured base coat to create a textured multi-colour finish. Like other concrete floors, Epoxy Flake has a large range of benefiting characteristics.

This concrete surface coating is extremely durable and hard wearing and because of the textured finish, this floor type has a high level of impact resistance. This means that dropping your tools on the ground in the garage or shed will no longer chip or damage your floor. Furthermore an Epoxy Flake floor is non-slip, hygienic, easy to clean, allergen and germ free and affordable, not to mention the quick installation period. Expect 2-3 days drying time before you can walk on it and up to 5 days before you can drive a car over it.

Floor Design

There are 3 easy steps to follow in creating your new Epoxy Flake floor.

  • Choose your base colour
  • Choose your colour of flake
  • Choose the size of your flakes

Your Epoxy Floor will come with a 5 year warranty, however should be expected to last over 10 years with minimal maintenance required. The floor is also easily re-coatable should the need arise in those very high trafficked areas.
