Polished Concrete for a Worthy Cause
- Published in Announcements
Over 18 months ago Sam was the victim of a senseless attack which left him fighting for his life. Sam remains severely disabled and is likely to need 24 hour care for the rest of his life. Transitions Polishing and Grinding were lucky enough to be part of a charity project which involved improvements, extensions and alterations to Sams family home to ensure it was both functional and accessible for his return home.
In collaboration with one of our longtime customers, Hutchinson Builders, Transitions Polishing and Grinding donated their services to install polished concrete in Sams new physiotherapy room, recreation room and bedroom. Polished concrete was the product of choice as it would enable Sam to move throughout the house with ease. Polished concrete is also very low maintenance, has a good slip rating and is low allergenic, which was most critical for his physiotherapy and rehabilitation areas.
Transitions Polishing and Grinding are honoured to have been a part of this special project and hope Mike, Margaret, Sam and all the Ford family share happy memories in their new home.
